Okay, class, today's lesson is in memetics. If you don't know what memetics is, click here, and welcome to the 21st century.
The meme I want to discuss is the variations of the phrase "get my/your [noun/verb] on." I have a friend whom I'll call "Prarissa Lay" who seemed to use this phrase all the time. For example: "get my dance on," "get my twirl on" (in the context of spaghetti), "get your survey on," etc. Well, today I heard a country song with the repeated phrase, "get my drink on."
....
in other news, i saw the "wedding crashers" tonight after 9pm, in a rec room in a dorm here on campus, and i was really engrossed in it, i guess, 'cause when other people started coming in to use the rec room during the movie, i was disoriented, pulled from the "reality" of the movie into the reality of...reality. It was kind of like when i remember something happening, but then i can't remember if it really happened or if it was in a dream. and no, i don't drink.
