Cousins are kewl...
Jun. 20th, 2004 04:51 pm...and so are daughters of girlfriends of first cousins once removed! Namely, my new friend, Allison. She's 13 but looks way older.
[the following is NOT just another prolife rant. it is NOT protesting all abortion, just one abortion.]
Ok, so i was readin the paper and i saw this article about prenatal tests and it mentioned a woman who had "terminated her pregnancy" why? Not b/c of rape, her own life, or lack of funds for caring for the kid, but b/c the fetus *might* have down syndrome. How dumb is that? This woman obviously knows little about down syndrome. Kids with down syndrome may be slow but they tend to be friendly and they can have fairly normal, good lives. I mean, its not like the kid had Tay-Sachs!
I feel there should be legislation to outlaw abortions when the only reason is that the unborn child might have Down Syndrome. It probably wont get passed tho. AARGH!
